The Official Narrative

Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, shot President Kennedy from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas on November 22, 1963. The Warren Commission — established by President Johnson and reporting in 1964 — concluded there was no conspiracy.[1] Oswald was himself shot by Jack Ruby two days later. The assassination had no connection to Kennedy's foreign policy disputes. It was the act of a troubled loner.
THE ANOMALY — Congressional Override of Warren
The House Select Committee on Assassinations — a formal congressional investigation with subpoena power — reviewed the evidence in 1979 and concluded: "President John F. Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy."[2] Acoustic evidence pointed to a second shooter on the grassy knoll. Four shots fired. Ruby shot Oswald in a Dallas Police Department facility on live television, eliminating the only suspect before interrogation could be completed.
